  • When you read the introductory copy in the hotel book it explains how the owners built their concept and defined every detail based upon their experience of global business travel staying in hotels all over the world. Well, I have done the same and I have to say, it really shows! I don't normally like staying in hotels as I've done so much of it through work but this one is different. Everything about the experience makes you feel at HOME. Breakfast in your room, a place to relax, walking down to the bar in your pyjamas to get some more wood for the fire, relaxing on the sofa with a glass of wine after skiing. We REALLY enjoyed every little detail that this hotel offers and I rate it as the best hotel I've every stayed in. I can say that with considerable qualification having stayed in some of the finest hotels in the world. What this place offers in addition to the obvious quality of everything around you is simple; they make you feel at home.

  • First time in Zermatt, very glad we picked Firefly. Cannot fault anything, was perfect. The spa facilities are excellent - choice of 2 steam rooms with different aromas. Breakfast in the room was delicious, we always added on extra requests which were seen to everytime. Room was spacious and so well equipped .. we cooked dinner a few times and had more than we do at home! We will be back! :)

  • This was a fantastic stay at a fantastic hotel. Simone was fantastic at making sure that we had everything that we needed. They upgraded us to a suite that was BEAUTIFUL. Everything was high quality. They gave us a welcome drink at the bar and free breakfast as well. This wasn't just any breakfast either, it was quite possibly the best breakfast I have ever had. They brought the breakfast to our suite, then set the table for us and then came in a cleaned the table afterwards. Excellent service all the way around. I will definitely stay here again! The bellman/driver was also great!

Those who travel to Zermatt are here to stay. Because there's no through traffic. The village in Valais lies at the end of a valley and Switzerland's greatest mountain is right at its doorstep. At 4,478 metres above sea level, the Matterhorn is the most photographed mountain in the world. Since it was first climbed in 1865, the village at its foot has become a popular tourist destination. But it's not just mountain climbers who make their way to Zermatt. Skiers, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts also love coming here.

Zermatt is a health resort to its core and boasts 300 sunny days a year. The air is clear and clean, not least because motor vehicles have never been allowed. Instead, there are electric taxis, horse-drawn carriages, sledges, and bicycles to help you get about. But actually everything is easily accessible on foot, such as the famous Bahnhofstrasse, the Matterhorn Museum, and the world-class restaurants.

Zermatt is both quiet and vibrant. It is both quaint and cosmopolitan. The same applies to the luxury suite Hotel FIREFLY, nestled in the heart of this mountain paradise.
